Hello and welcome to the home of the Killeshin Pipe Band. We are based in Killeshin Village just 3 miles outside Carlow town. We have strong connections to Carlow town and county even though we are based in Co. Laois. We perform at numerous functions and events troughout Carlow each year and our connections are so strong with the town that we are often referred to as the "local Carlow PipeBand. Also, many of our longest serving members reside in Carlow town itself.

Killeshin Village

The village of Killeshin is located in the Rossmore Hillsfrom which some of the most beautiful sights in Leinster can be enjoyed.  Between the hills of Keeloge and Cracknaraw, in the Slieve Margy range, is a picturesque glen.  At the mouth of this glen is the ruins of Killeshin Church, a splendid example of Hiberno-Romanesque architecture. The monastery was founded here in AD545.  Itis one of the most important medieval monastic centres in Ireland today. click here to read on....
